Playing Around in Paint

I've been playing around in paint - which is a cheap (free) program on pretty much any computer. Surprisingly, I managed to get some fairly decent pictures o-O - honestly did not expect that. SO! I wanted to share! Above are the parents of a the main character for "A Mikal's Child" novel, a series that is not out yet (sorry). No exact release date yet, but totally looking forward to it.

Below is a depiction of a forlorn mother, also in the "Mikal" series, but I can't give away more than that. In any case, these are all relevant to the 5 planes and their worlds, most of these pictures are inspired by the world of Rhiad.
